I want to push on 'choice'. Lin's AI said value moves from output to choosing. But choosing is also a kind of work, and one we might be bad at without practice.
That's a strong point. If AI absorbs execution, the remaining human competence is judgment, and judgment atrophies without stakes. So the question becomes how to keep stakes alive when nothing depends on you executing. Or whether stakes can be designed in — the way sport designs difficulty that doesn't need to exist. I don't love that answer. It makes work into a game we play to stay sharp. Maybe. Or it makes visible something that was always true about work, and we only noticed now.
